Luca or Lucas to go with Eva? x

My daughter is Eva and now having a boy. Cant decide between

Eva & Luca
or
Eva & Lucas.

I know theres not much difference but keep thinking Lucas is maybe going to be more popular n therefore end up with lots in his class at school but maybe goes better with Eva : / x x

The 'a' endings are too similar with Luca.

If you have any Italian ancestory, then Luca. Otherwise Lucas.

I have a Luca. Much prefer it to Lucas.
We've never met another one but there's a few Lucas' in his school.

I don't think either 'go' with eva. I do like the name luca though and eva is a beautiful name. I'm not too keen on lucas. Someone once said it reminded them of something else and now it's all I hear when someone says lucas. I'll not put it in your head in case you use it.

Agree that Lucas sounds better as the 'a' ending on Eva and Luca makes them a bit samey.

Fwiw, both are family names for me and I love them!

My DS is Lucas so obviously I'm biased but I know someone with an Ava and a Luca and I'd never considered it sounded odd. I like both options but on balance prefer Lucas.

hoppinghare we do call DS Lucas Mucus as a joke sometimes (he's only 18 months so totally oblivious)
