Ambrose, Idris or Remy

It's for DC3 who I think is a boy. Due very soon. DC1's name begins with A and DC2 begins with R. But I find Idris a bit harsh.

Please don't be horrible or rude.

Cheers...

Remy is supercool.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 15/01/2014 20:56

Ambrose, then idris and remy last.

Can't believe someone else watched Funland...

BikeRunSki · 15/01/2014 20:58

Ambrose.
It my dB's name and a truly excellent one at that. V few references to milk pudding. Unusual, but everyone has heard of it and can spell it.

Next Idris. The mountain in Mid/north Wales is Cadair Idris (Idris' Chair), with Idris pronounced with a short I ,"ih-dris".

omuwalamulungi · 15/01/2014 21:00

I love the name Remy. Love love love it! If I ever have another boy he'll be a Remy.

JanetAndRoy · 15/01/2014 21:02

Ambrose reminds me - in no particular order - of Devonshire custard, the strange man in The Thirteenth Tale, and the foxhound in The Labyrinth.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 15/01/2014 21:04

Remy is a Newcastle striker. I'm a bit of a football nut, though.

Ambrose is cool. Sharing your name with a dragon is pretty cool, too.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 15/01/2014 21:07

Well if your think is a boy turns out to be a girl:

Isis

is an absolutely beautiful name...

shirleycat1 · 15/01/2014 21:19

Yes, I was just thinking how it really could do with being a boy, because we have put a lot of thought into a boys name and not very much at all into a girls.

I'm due in less than a week and CAN'T WAIT!!

Idris
Ambrose and Remy seem very soft names.

ChristmasCareeristBitchNigel · 15/01/2014 21:32

I think they're all rather try-too-hard. Ambrose is the best if you have to

omuwalamulungi · 15/01/2014 21:36

Remy is and always will be Remy LeBeau ;)

omuwalamulungi · 15/01/2014 21:36

wink fail Wink

Alisvolatpropiis · 15/01/2014 21:37

Idris.

Manchesterhistorygirl · 15/01/2014 21:38

Ambrose is ds2's godfather so I obviously love it. It's due a revival.

thoughtsbecomethings · 15/01/2014 21:39

Idris is a beautiful name for a baby boy. If I had another baby u would name it idris

Patchouli · 15/01/2014 21:40

Is it just me who thinks of remmy as a horrible insult from schooldays then?

RalphRecklessCardew · 15/01/2014 21:47

St Ambrose was a dude and he's patron saint of Milan. Excellent choice. Idris is also good, although I'd worry that it's very linked to Mr. Elba and that's a tall (dark and handsome) one to live up to. Remy's a bit wet.

notso · 15/01/2014 21:59

That's my first thought about Remy Patchouli

I really like Idris though it auto corrects to aid rips Hmm

I'm not sure about Ambrose If you live in the right area then great.

lebkuchenlover · 15/01/2014 22:27

I think Ambrose is a great name! Also quite like Remy.

Not keen on Idris, somehow sounds feminine to my ears.

MsMessyandtheTidyBoys · 15/01/2014 22:32

I have a baby Idris. Lovely classic Welsh name.

redbinneo · 15/01/2014 22:35

Remy is cool, even better if Martin is the second name.

mathanxiety · 16/01/2014 05:57

Ambrose, then Remy, then a long way back . . .(miles back) . . . . Idris.

Ambrose and Remy are fab.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/01/2014 10:11

I know a very cute Remy ( although spelt Remi) and he's my cat. Also the name for a fat rat in Ratatouille!

IHeartKingThistle · 16/01/2014 10:24

Remy's not the fat rat, he's the clever cooking one!
