Her first name is Ada and her surname will be Adcock / Adcock-Cooper / Cooper-Adcock (still in negotiation...) any suggestions?

I love Ada, one of the loveliest old ladies we know is Sad, so it conjures up lovely things for me :)

I think a longer name, 3 syllables like Rebecca.

I'd also go for Cooper-Adcock

I really like Ada - it's on my own shortlist. I also love names that alliterate so I'm actually quite jealous of Ada Adcock.

I assume Ada is pronounced like Ava and Adcock has a short A? If so I don't see a problem with what it might sound like.

As for middle names:
Marie
Louise
Elizabeth
Isabelle
Rose
Grace
May

My daughter - one today! - is called Ada. So clearly we love the name. My only concern is that it's getting popular (we all like to be unique don't we?!). Our's is Ada Ngaio (pron. Nye-O) which is lovely - I have to make the effort to use it all together!

Do remember that middle names are rarely used.

Your daughter will be known as her first name-surname.

Ada Cooper-Adcock works best I think.

Ada Adcock sounds like a parlour maid from an Agatha Christie. She's a bit fast, dyes her hair and possibly gets done in for knowing too much.

Which actually is quite cool squoosh

Ada Mae is Whoopie Goldberg's character in Ghost.

I like that combo as I like the character Smile

I really don't understand the 'mumsnet thing' of people reading Ada as Asda!!!
