I love Annie, family name is Hannah but it's my middle name so would rather not. Close relative is Ann...

Anything other than Annabel out there?

Thanks!

Anwen? Welsh name meaning 'most beautiful'

I know one, and she is usually Annie.

I would go for Anneka or Anoushka (on my list). Both are less common but not too uncommon to have to have to spell them all the time.

All Annies I know are lovely people, too.

BunnyLebowski · 05/01/2014 18:34

I would just go for Annie.

I don't buy into all this 'proper name' stuff.

Ruprekt · 05/01/2014 18:35

I do think that Annie and Anna are names in their own right so do not need to be part of a bigger name iyswim......

Another vote for Annie. Its much nicer than most of the longer versions

Littleturkish · 06/01/2014 06:52

Thanks so much!

Gosh, I still don't feel the 'that's it' feeling. Going to read through all the lists again. Marianna is winning for me at the moment.

I have an Anwen, nn Annie and am now trying to work out who I know that has a woodburner!

WoodBurnerBabe · 06/01/2014 20:36

flossie, definitely not the same Anwen - but it is a fab name! This one is a relative of mine and I'm pretty sure I'm not related to you...

What's wrong with Annabel? I have one and to be honest, she is a bit of a toad and generally answers to Annie which suits her more
