Bit of an odd one

But I'm looking for a male version of Jessica, that isn't Jesse.

I fell pregnant around the same time I lost a relative of mine. If the baby was a girl we would have used Jessica as a middle name but 20 week scan says little boy!

I would still like to honour her in some way, but I don't like Jesse, especially as we could use Jessica if we did have a girl in the future.

Maybe someone knows a name that is a translated version or same meaning?

I know it's a bit of a stretch but if anyone can help it's you lot!

Tia Thanks

It's not easy. Clearly the obvious one is Jesse.

Josiah? Joseph?

Jessica means rich/wealthy or God's Grace

Otis means Wealth too if that helps?

TooTryHard · 04/01/2014 22:22

Apparently it means rich so you pick a boy's name thatnmeans rich or wealthy. There are lots but I like Otto.

JimmyCorkhill · 04/01/2014 22:24

Isaac is lovely and has the link of the same (ish) letters in Jessica.

Is Yishai too much of a stretch (Hebrew for Jesse)? Even for a middle name?

Or how about a J name. You will know that it has a link to your relative. Jack, Jacob, Jake, James, Jed, Jeremy, Jonathon, Jonah are all Hebrew.

I know a boy called Jess, it's his first name. Just "Jess", the meaning "the Lord exists".
