Love Felix. Very jealous as my dh has vetoed it for our 2nd!

I know a Tilly who's sister is Poppy... Does that help?!

Tibby2 · 29/12/2013 20:36

Thank you, felix is the one name me and my husband can agree on! We love poppy but our surname starts with a P and were not sure about double p's!!???

Ruby or Georgie

sleepingbeautiful · 29/12/2013 20:43

Not Lottie - too many "T"s when you say them together. Flora or Ruby I think.

Tibby2 · 29/12/2013 21:10

Thank you for help so far, anymore for anymore :)

RightInTheKisser · 29/12/2013 21:19

Love alliterated names so Poppy works for me!

Bazoo23 · 29/12/2013 21:25

My friend has a Tilly, her identical twin sister is C

Bazoo23 · 29/12/2013 21:26

Claudette even haha, building the suspense there!

Tibby2 · 29/12/2013 21:33

We really liked willa but willa and tilly seem to be a no go! I think my nxt favourite on the list is elva as i like these sort of short names but DH isn't so keen! Does anyone else like it? Thanks for suggestions so far DH is pleased flora got a vote thats one was his suggestion :)

Bazoo23 · 29/12/2013 21:48

Ooh Lyla is gorgeous!!

sleepingbeautiful · 29/12/2013 23:13

Yes Willa would be a bad combo too :D
I quite like Elva, it's unusual but not weird. I do like Tilly and Flora though, they seem to belong to sisters in a book. Not sure just how much that matters to you in the long run, only the first 10 years or so really.

gallicgirl · 29/12/2013 23:15

Tilly? seriously?

Is that a proper name?

MonkeysTypewriter · 29/12/2013 23:19

I like Rosalie, Flora, Etta

gallicgirl - did you mean to be so rude?

Clargo55 · 29/12/2013 23:22

I was going to suggest Etta too.
Really like Luna and Willow.
Piper is nice too, but I would avoid if surname begins with P.

octopusinasantasack · 29/12/2013 23:27

I like Elva. Don't go for Willa or some bright spark will refer to them as Willy and Tilly.

gallicgirl · 29/12/2013 23:27

Where I come from it means thingy, child who's name I've forgotten/can't be bothered to remember.

I genuinely have never heard of a child called Tilly deliberately.

octopusinasantasack · 29/12/2013 23:29

Gallic I know two - both are Matilda and have Tilly as a nickname, presumably chosen by themselves as they are both teenagers.

gallicgirl · 29/12/2013 23:36

It sounds pretty as a nickname but still seems odd to me.

OP I know a baby named Poppy with a P surname and it's lovely but I do wonder if it will sound a bit like a cartoon character as she grows older. It's a shame because it's fab for a kiddy.

AuntieBrenda · 29/12/2013 23:38

I know someone with a Tilly who had an elder dd named Connie

SaltyGoodness · 30/12/2013 01:42

The little Tilly I know is adorable - it's a great name, you may occasionally get asked if it's short for Matilda but I wouldn't care Smile. It's sweet and delicate. She gets Till and Tillybell as nicknames.

Her big sisters are Josie and Claudia.

gallicgirl is perhaps unaware that Tilly has been in the top 100 for years now. She should get out more Grin

ThePortlyPinUp · 30/12/2013 08:09

My dd4 is Tilly-Grace, I also have an Olivia-Mae, Elana-Rose and a Maisy-Rae Smile Both bil's chose T names for their dd's after dd4 was born so there is Tilly, Tally,Taylor and Tia, poor mil gets very confusedGrin

ThePortlyPinUp · 30/12/2013 08:11

From your list I like Tallulah and EttaSmile

NorksofPlenty · 30/12/2013 10:46

I've got a Tilly and a Felix!! If ds was a girl he would've been Florence or Eliza. I also loved Flora, Ava & Amelie.

FunnysInLaJardin · 30/12/2013 11:38

I know 2 Tillys. One has a sister called Alannah. I like Lottie from your list OP
