DS is 4 and a Harry and I only know one other.

If you like the name use it!

Misfitless · 29/12/2013 09:29

I think it's less popular, because it became so popular, that fewer people used it for a while, iyswim.

There are loads around the 8 year age-groups, but I don't know of many younger ones called Harry.

And it is a lovely name Smile.

Lovely name, i dont know of any!

pinkgirlythoughts · 29/12/2013 10:06

I work in an infant school of almost 300 children, and we don't have a single Harry at the moment- quite a lot of Harrisons, and one Henry, but no Harrys. I think there are maybe two or three in our associated Junior school.

As Misfitless said, I think it's a bit less popular now than it was at one point, because it got so popular that people were put off for a while.

My 10yo DS1 is a Harry (full name Harold). There were four in his class. When he was newborn, people would say, when told his name, "ooh, after Harry Potter". I got fed up after a while and for my own amusement used to reply, "No, Harold Shipman". How we laughed....

Skogkatter · 29/12/2013 10:56

I know four- one was named after Harry Styles, according to the mother Hmm

Dillydollydaydream · 29/12/2013 10:56

I only know one considering it's a popular name.

Rosencrantz · 29/12/2013 20:28

I don't have enough fingers to count the baby Harry's I know!

Lynsey14 · 29/12/2013 21:20

Uhm... My dog is called Harry. Though we wanted him to have a 'people' name :-)
