Juno, Tessa, Fleur or Flora?

So I am no longer pregnant, unfortunately I lost my little bean at just over 8 weeks pregnant. That was four weeks ago.

I'm in the mood to distract myself, so onto my favourite topic....baby names.

I love all the above, dh likes Juno or Tessa. Which would you pick? TIA

Oh good taste OP.

Juno, Tessa, Flora = first.

Not keen on Fleur.

Sorry about your little bean.

BunnyLebowski · 18/12/2013 22:37

Sorry for your loss Ditsy Thanks Thanks

Juno is beautiful. I really love it.

I don't like any of the others.

namelessposter · 18/12/2013 22:40

Juno or Fleur.

MatildaWhispers · 18/12/2013 22:40

Prefer Tessa.

Don't like Fleur makes me think of the word 'flirt'.

DitsyDonkey · 18/12/2013 22:41

Thanks ladies, its really crap, and we had been ttc for nearly three years to get to that point. But onwards and upwards I guess.

If it helps, ds is called Eli.

Sorry for your loss.

Fleur and eli go lovely together. Juno is particularly bad!

BunnyLebowski · 18/12/2013 23:06

I love Juno and Tess(a).

Fleur makes me think 'bleurgh' and Flora makes me think of ruddy cheeked, wide hipped, Highlands women.

So sorry about your little bean, wishing you all the luck for the future.

BunnyLebowski · 19/12/2013 20:31

Yes squoosh ! Fleur sounds like a vomiting noise. Bleurgh, Fleur.

And Flora is a very homely name.

Tessa does immediately make me think Ten Ton though Blush . It's not a dainty name to my ear.

I'm still in love with Eli and Juno. So fabulous Smile .

DitsyDonkey · 19/12/2013 21:01

My df used to affectionately call me ten ton Tessie when I was younger Hmm

I'm surprised that I'm not permanently turned off the name. Btw I'm not actually very big, chubby but not fat fat! Blush

Yes I suppose if you thought there was a chance your daughter might be a bit chunky it's probably best to avoid Tessa.

sleepingbeautiful · 20/12/2013 06:19

Any except Fleur. I'm agree with PP comments about bleurgh being my first thought. I also think it sounds dreadful in a number of different regional accents so you have to be careful with that too; not everyone will say it as intended.

DitsyDonkey · 22/12/2013 16:38

I see what you mean re Tessa!

Tessa!

My future DC names (Girl/Boy) are Tessa & Eli :o

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 22/12/2013 22:58

Sorry about your bean xx

NadiaWadia · 23/12/2013 00:33

Flora is lovely. I think she was a Roman goddess or something? On the down side, there is the margarine connection.
