Girls short list and middle name quandary

So we are having a little girl! Did a hippy type name thread a while ago but these are on our short list:

Elodie (DH's fave)
Darcy (My fave)
Lyra (Dd's fave)
Athena

We also love Summer and Sky but have an 'S' surname so it sounds wrong. I also secretly love Serafina but same problem.

For middle names our Gm's names are Ingrid and Dorothy! Also, Minnie? We love all but they seem a bit harsh with the softer first names and Minnie has unfortunate connotations.

Iris is also a possible middle name
Any suggestions or thoughts welcome!

OK, I really like Lyra, and think Elody is nice. Darcy always reminds me of Pride and Prejudice, which is no bad thing, and actually, as DD has two names chosen from literature I may well steal it for a future dd.

Prefer Summer to Sky but agree both could be odd with an S surname.

Love Dorothy as a first name never mind a MN.

I'm guessing the intitials will be *IDS?

Hmm, that could createa word? I don't think there's anything that needs avoiding? PIDS, maybe, but I don't know why.

Well I'd go with Lyra Dorothy Ingrid or Athena Dorothy Ingrid.

I don't like Ingrid Dorothy and Darcy Dorothy and Elodie Dorothy don't flow for me.

Strongly dislike Minnie.

Chaos if it's *IDS then avoiding an S first name would be preferable.

Love Darcy from first names, not keen on any of the middles tbh.

I prefer Athena and Lyra to your favourites. You're right, the middle names are a little harsh - do you have to use them? If so, I think Dorothy sounds better with both Athena and Lyra than Ingrid.

not really keen on your choices to be honest. i find your middle name options a bit dowdy, sorry. but if they are the right names my opinion wont matter! good luck
