hello I found out last week i'm expecting another baby girl, I already have 1 dd (2) called Ffion.
Looking for another pretty name, it doesn't have to be welsh

a few names on my list so far are Laila, Ava,Lexie and Naomi
What do you think of these names? any other suggestions welcome
thanks xx

I prefer Naomi out of those, but all lovely.

my favourite name is Anna though.
(couldn't use it with DD as our eldest niece is Anna, same surname.)

grizzabellia · 06/12/2013 11:16

I also like Naomi best - classic and not very popular at moment. Ava is massively overdone and I know quite a few Lailas of varying spelling. Not keen on Lexie at all, it is nowhere near as nice as the others

I know you said does not have to be welsh but there aresome lovely welsh names I would use if I had any claim to welshness! I like

Nia, Anwen, Eira (means snow!)

Good luck choosing.

I like Ava and Laila .

Eva
Leah
Amelia
Mia
Maya
Seren
Bronwen
Lydia
Juliet
Cora

Naomi is my favourite out of them. Ffion is gorgeous!

grizzabellia · 06/12/2013 18:04

Also like Alys and Eirlys

Hi thanks everyone, I do like welsh names but I don't want them to have the exact names as other childen e.g ffion and carys ffion and seren, I do quite like Nia though.
Which middle names do you think go with Naomi ? can't begin with R.

Naomi is a beautiful name, historical, biblical - can't go wrong really.

Lexi is already naff unfortunately.
Ava is extremely overused.
Laila I love too and again has a lot of history, Naomi just is even better!

Love Naomi. Don't like Laila or Lexie at all.

harryhausen · 07/12/2013 16:35

I know you say it doesn't have to be Welsh, but I've always loved Nia and Catrin.

I have a friend called Manon too and I've always liked that (I think it's French??)

BlackberryandNettle · 07/12/2013 22:32

How about Alexa with nickname Lexie? Like Lexie a lot as a nickname.

Mutteroo · 07/12/2013 22:59

Naomi is an adorable name. Absolutely my favourite out of your list, but I love Ava too.

WednesdayRebel · 08/12/2013 23:00

Chloe is gorgeous too. Chloe Ava?

m90 · 09/12/2013 08:13

Thanks Chloe Ava is nice too, I thought Chloe Olivia the other day until I thought of the surname Williams her initials would spell COW lol x

Chloe-what a fabulous name.

MummyBeerestCupOfCheerest · 09/12/2013 08:38

I LOVE the name Ffion and I LOVE the name Chloe! Dh vetoed both!

Envy

I like Chloe Ava a lot. Or Chloe Isabel.

MiracleOntheM4 · 09/12/2013 20:53

Lexie is lovely as a nickname biased.

I can sympathise with the initials thing. I was gushing about a name for DD2 the other day until DH pointed out her initials would be ARS...

m90 · 09/12/2013 20:58

Miracle that is sooo funny, just as well you noticed now lol
