Strong names? For boys?

To go with an odd surname? (Storm).

We liked Ash/er. It doesn't really go.
We quite like Elliott, Rex (too doglike for me, though), Xander, Caleb, Conrad and Kai (Kai Rooney?). I'm aware that not all actually fit our description! Any ideas?

Sorry I took ages to come back (Sick DD3, the only way to get her to sleep was watching a repeat of Katie Morag. If this baby was a girl, I'd be tempted with that as a name...)

So many names! miffy all those names are names of (adult) member of the family. I love them all, traditional names are very strong and serious and are perfect. Skiving yeah, Inget what you mean! It'd be even worse with Luca!

sorenna love Saul. Solomon is my DBro's name actually! I love love love Saul but DH vetoed it. Apparently his hamster was called Saul and therefore the name is taken. Tbf, I vetoed a name of his for a rather stupid reason from his perspective, so I'm going to try wearing him down on it!

everlong Sebastian and Patrick are nice. Hamish is the name of our rather clumsy poodle and I don't think it would work iyswim. I don't really like Gullivwr (Gulliver's Travels) but I like the sound just not the association in my mind? Thanks!

Like all your suggestions except Kai. Prefer Zander to Xander, though. My ds is Axel, would go well with Storm too I think. Another recent thread suggested Julius, which I think is strong. I have a crush on the name Roy at the moment, but nobody seems to agree (including dh).

To my ears Rex Storm sounds like Wreck Storm - I don't like the s's running into each other.
