Hi lovely browsing mummies...

We are 2 weeks away from due date and can't decide between:

India Holly
Nia Ruby

We already have Oliver James and Amelie Rose.

Votes / comments / preference? We know it's our decision but want to test the water with general public response!!

Thanks in advance :-) xx

India

YoDiggity · 28/11/2013 04:49

India.

Nia is horrid, whichever way you say it. It sounds hard and ugly.

NationMcKinley · 28/11/2013 05:56

India - lovely name. Sorry, not keen on Nia, agree with the poster who said it doesn't sound like a full name (apologies to the fab Nia Vardalos) Smile

MummyBeerest · 28/11/2013 06:04

I love Nia

Applejuice70 · 28/11/2013 06:15

India.

TheNunsOfGavarone · 28/11/2013 08:33

India.

Nia sounds like an abbreviation - not applicable or something like that.

CarryOnDancing · 28/11/2013 09:11

India for me. Nia is too similar to all the Mia, Mya, Lila variations, of which there are many. I thinks it's prettiness gets lost whereas I see India as a proper name rather than just a variation of the above similar sounds.

NoComet · 28/11/2013 09:15

India, I too find Nia unfinished written and spoken I'd hear it as Mia.

8thplace · 28/11/2013 09:18

India Holly

hawkmcqueen · 28/11/2013 09:28

India as I think it goes much more nicely with sibling names :-)

sandfrog · 28/11/2013 09:43

Nia Holly

InfiniteJest · 28/11/2013 09:58

Nia Ruby, it's beautiful. You have great taste in names!

CatsAreLikeChocolates · 28/11/2013 12:03

Nia Holly.

Nia is def a proper name, although I am welsh so may be baised.

India on the other hand sounds less like a real name to me for some reason. I blame the Beckhams for ruining all place-names-as-baby-names.

sausageandorangepickle · 28/11/2013 18:42

i like Nia better as a name but think India goes better with your other DC's.

(that's really not helping, is it??)

Bowlersarm · 28/11/2013 18:44

India Holly

daughterofafarmer · 28/11/2013 18:51

India Holly

  1. I think India is a lovely name
  2. Goes better with your other DC's

Good luck

CousinCairngormMcWomble · 28/11/2013 23:17

India Ruby (I know that wasn't on the list)

Alisvolatpropiis · 30/11/2013 14:48

Nia.

Welsh form of Niamh.

OrlaNuttin · 30/11/2013 21:35

Nia is beautiful.

India very over used round here. Plus is a country (in case you didn't know! )
