Melissa

I like it but is "Mel" an inevitability I just have to accept? I don't really like it.

Can anyone think of any similar names like Melissa that I may be overlooking?

Melissa is a very pretty name. I knew a Melissa who was known as Bliss.

All the ones I know are Mel. I like it but would probably go for variant instead like Elissa or Alyssa, Melodie or Eloise.

I've never heard Melissa shortened, I'd assume Mel was short for Melanie.

Lissa would be cute.

I really like Melissa. Mel might well happen, as might Mellie.
