Thoughts? I rather like it and there is none that I know of round here. We are English living in Scotland and I've read on here Lydia means teapot in Scotland - anyone heard of this?!

I like it, my friend has twins called Noah and Lydia and she is a sweetheart

Ok, next question... Which of these middle name options would go best with Lydia?
Anne
Ruth
Lucy
Alice
None of them sound right to me but we would like a family name as a middle name as we've done with DD. The obvious choice is Anne after MIL but I'm just not sure. Confused

I was at school with a Lydia from age 8 to 16 and never once heard/thought of any of the negative connections I've seen on here. I think it's beautiful.

Sounds like Olivia which I prefer but is more common I suppose. I do like it though

cantthinkofagoodone · 16/11/2013 23:29

One syllable for the middle name as Lydia is 3 x

I really like it.

Lydia.

It's lovely!

If MIL is the obvious choice, go with Anne. It really doesn't matter about middle names flowing as you don't say them out loud very often. Far better to flatter a family member. I presume you gave DD1 your own mother's name as her MN? Then DD2 should really have MIL. Politics!

I think Lydia Anne sounds great. But if you go with that, just one thing, your surname doesn't start with a V does it Grin

DessieLou · 17/11/2013 09:46

Ha! No it doesn't start with a V! Grin.
Thanks for your thoughts.

My DD is a Lydia. We love Beetlejuice so named her after Winona Ryder's character. We also love the Muppet Show so seeing Kermit singing Lydia the Tattooed Lady really clinched it for us. :D
