What items of clothing did /do u have ready before 1st child is born?

Like how many sleep suits /baby gros did u Have before and what size?
Same for other bits like vests and all the other jazz... I'm 39 +3 and worrying now that I haven't got enough clothing!!

Um, trying to remember! I think I had about 15 newborn long sleeved vests and babygroes with DS1. Some of these were hand me downs from my niece who's 7 months older. They were all white so unisex. You will probably get given loads of stuff so try to resist the urge to buy tons of clothes! Congratulations

I had babygros and good old fashioned nightdresses. So easy to change baby in the night when you are tired. I think they were Harringtons. All were white and I think I had about 6 of each. Also had a several vests and cardigans. A white hat and an outside jacket and bootees. I didn't have an all in one snow suit until a bit bigger and not a new born. I also bought little that was really small. Nightdresses lasted well though as they are less difficult to grow out of. People will give you clothes when they know boy or girl so no need to overstock!
