We can't call him Baby for the rest of his life!

I need help! We had settled on Dominic as the name for DS2, but now he's here I can't bring myself to use it as his name - it just doesn't feel right. DH has lost patience with the whole naming thing and just wants to get DS2 registered. So, does anyone have any last minute winning name suggestions? Or am I just being silly?

DS2 is a brother to Theodore.

What name do YOU and your DH love?

It doesn't matter what we think, really! But as you ask here are some names I love:

Reuben
Quentin
Marcus
Magnus
Sebastian

I also like Dominic, but if you don't like it, then I wouldn't use it. YOU've got to feel comfortable with it!

Congratulations, by the way.

absentmindeddooooodles · 06/11/2013 15:05

Love dominic!

How about:
Seth
Sonny
Jude
Alexander
Reuben
Myles
Jesse
Sebastian
Rory

PissesGlitter · 06/11/2013 15:06

Was going to suggest Sebastian too
I think it goes nice with Theodore

Limbolady · 06/11/2013 15:09

We also loved Dominic and abandoned it at re last minute for Sebastian. He somehow seemed in need of a sturdier name than Dominic. Rory and Hamish were on out list too.

NorthEasterlyGale · 06/11/2013 15:11

I was also going to suggest Sebastian...!

Artandco · 06/11/2013 15:12

Leon
Arthur
Conrad

Hazelbrowneyes · 06/11/2013 15:21

I love Dominic but it doesn't sit right as a baby name in my mind, if that makes sense?

Ok, suggestions. I always think how the names sound together so:

Theodore and James
Theodore and Harry
Theodore and Joseph
Theodore and Christopher
Theodore and Christian
Theodore and Noah
Theodore and Matthew
Theodore and Lewis
Theodore and Max
Theodore and Alexander
Theodore and Sebastian
Theodore and David
Theodore and Jonathan
Theodore and Nathaniel
Theodore and Gareth
Theodore and Gethin
Theodore and Bertram
Theodore and Declan

Bakingtins · 06/11/2013 15:44

Baby name wizard suggests

Alexander
Augustus (maybe not)
Benjamin
George
Jackson
John
Joshua
Louis
Maxwell
Oliver
Sebastian
Timothy
William

as sibs for Theodore.
Is there another name from your shortlist you both like? Sometimes baby just doesn't look like a Dominic...

obviouslyneedsupernanny · 06/11/2013 16:11

Before I even opened the thread William came into my head so I'm saying that!

NoComet · 06/11/2013 16:16

Your right you can't possibly call him "don't get done, get Dom)

Theo and Seb (Sebastian) works perfectly.

ABirdInTheBush · 06/11/2013 16:37

Oh I do like Sebastian, but our surname starts with a 'B' and they sound silly together. Likewise, love William but can't use nn of Will or Billy for the same reason. Wish I could post the surname so you'd understand but it's that unusual I'd be outed.
Some good suggestions up there too, thank you! I'm going to try them out and see if any stick!

Elliott
Adam
Leon
Nathan
Freddie
Finley
Dylan
Oscar

Biscuitsneeded · 06/11/2013 18:57

I have a Billy and a Theo. Why wouldn't William or Will work with a surname beginning with B?

Otherwise,

George
Arthur
Edward
Edmund
Frederick
Gabriel

BaronessBomburst · 06/11/2013 18:58

Alaric
Samuel
Alexander
Christopher

Pachacuti · 06/11/2013 19:03

BrainSurgeon · 06/11/2013 19:04

Charlie

jobwoes · 06/11/2013 19:43

I don't know about Barnabus but Barnabas, or Barnaby, is nice with Theodore.

holidaysarenice · 06/11/2013 19:47

Theodore and caleb or kale.

Or andrew?
Matt - matthew

OnesieTwosie · 07/11/2013 05:04

Love Dominic. I think it works well on a baby actually but remember you're naming a future adult too Smile

Is there another name you have in mind? If not, and you're just unsure, then I'd say stick with it. It's probably hormones clouding your judgement.

Good luck - baby name wavering is very stressful!

Littlecherublegs · 07/11/2013 12:12

Dominic is a fab name, it's on our shortlist along with:

Nathaniel / Nathan
Anthony
Christian
Joseph
Hayden / Aidan
Leon
Zac / Zachary
Louis

Was also going to suggest Caleb, Gabriel, Xander, Dylan or Xavier.

Amy106 · 07/11/2013 13:08

I really like Dominic. Is it just that baby doesn't "look" like one?
