What do you think of Martha Bea (ideally need a short middle name due to v long surname and would like something different)

I love Martha. Bea might confuse other people who will ask if it's short for Beatrice and they'll spell it Bay which will be irritating. IMO.

Beachballfamily · 04/11/2013 15:06

Agree that Bea is a bit odd. Martha Beatrice sounds fine to me.

CordeliaRose · 04/11/2013 15:23

I think Martha Bea is sweet. Other suggestions are
Martha Anne
Martha Beth
Martha Claire
Martha Faye
Martha Fleur
Martha Jane
Martha Joy
Martha May
Martha Rose (popular, I know!)
Martha Wren
Thanks

Oh my gosh......Martha Bea is just GORGEOUS!!! That is probably one of the nicest combos that I have seen suggested here! Please use it!

absentmindeddooooodles · 04/11/2013 16:39

Beautiful name. Love it! Really pretty but funky too. Good choice! :)

zcem · 05/11/2013 06:54

Thanks for your opinions. I was unsure about shortening Beatrice but I prefer Bea so think that's what we will go for!

Prefer Martha Beatrice.

Wishfulmakeupping · 05/11/2013 08:13

Love Bea as mn and Wren is a fab suggestion lovely

natandmat · 05/11/2013 12:19

Martha Quinn?

UriGeller · 05/11/2013 12:46

Its not one of the best name ive heard but i reckon for a middle name Bea is just as valid. I know a Honey Bea, so its already out there.

If it was the first name, everyone would just assume it was short for Beatrice anyway. They do that. People.

Bakingtins · 05/11/2013 12:50

Honey Bea is ridiculous.
Martha Bea is lovely.

Rhubarbgarden · 05/11/2013 13:32

Bea as a nickname for Beatrice is fine. Bea as a complete middle name is a bit daft IMO.

Lvcat · 05/11/2013 13:42

I think Martha Beatrice is gorgeous! Then you can shorten it to what you want. Such a nice, unconventional name.
tips imaginary hat

OnABabyDiet · 05/11/2013 19:33

Martha Bea sounds nice and flows really well, but I think Martha Beatrice is just as beautiful but classy and timeless as well.

MNs are used more often in writing than speech and I think Martha Beatrice looks better written down.

Kendall1 · 06/11/2013 01:09

Martha Bea is gorgeous. I agree with others that Martha Beatrice is lovely t

Sent to quickly.

I think Martha Beatrice is lovely too but I can understand to keeping it short with a long surname.
