Elowen for a girl

Have seen it mentioned on MN baby name threads. Has anyone met an Elowen?

I haven't met one, but it was in our top 10 and we only ditched it because it same syllables and end sound as our surname.
I love it!

It sounds a bit ungainly.

Beautiful name. This was in our top 3 if ds3 had turned out to be a girl.
I've only heard of one girl named Elowen around here and she is possibly around 4-7 years of age.

How do you pronounce it??? In my head, it's three letters: L-O-N

Its getting much more popular in Cornwall now. Ten years ago it was unheard of. Make sure you pronounce it right though - its El-O-wen, not ELL-o-wen.

Sorry, and to answer your question I know three - two four year olds and a newborn.

It's a very pretty name, good choice.
