The girls' names are all a very similar style to each other, and the boys' names are all a very similar style to each other, but I'd be pretty astonished to find a family with names from both lists tbh as the boys and girls styles are so different from each other.

I can't say anything nice about the girls' names - that's my honest opinion.

The boys' names are quite funky and "now".

TobyLerone · 26/10/2013 09:06

I don't like any of the girls' names.

The boys' names sound like they're all characters on Glee.

Rory is the only one I actively like.

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 26/10/2013 09:07

I really don't like any of them. But I can't talk, I'm desperately trying to think of a girls name for my January due daughter, and I'm really struggling!!!

MiconiumHappens · 26/10/2013 09:09

Sienna

Finn or Jonah

DSJamesHathaway · 26/10/2013 09:11

I think both lists sound quite American in style. I'd pick Sienna/Lexi and Finn/Alfie from those lists but I'm not really keen on any of them, I'm sorry.

I'm another who's not keen on any of the girls names, I'm really not a fan of surnames as first names especially not for girls. Of the boys I like Rory and would use Finn but as a nickname for Finian or Finlay.

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 26/10/2013 09:17

Yes actually, Finn and Jonah are cute names. But I can't warm to any of the girls names.

It's such a personal choice. Go with whatever you love and who cares what anyone else thinks? SmileWink

superlambanana · 26/10/2013 09:23

I like Finn and Jonah. Sienna is okay but I don't like the others (sorry!). How do you pronounce Emason?

elcranko · 26/10/2013 09:23

I like Sienna best from your girls list and Jonah and Rory best from your boys list. Finn is ok but I prefer it as a nn for Finlay/Finley.

As for a middle name, are you looking for something that simply sounds good with the chosen first name? Maybe there is a family name you would like to use?

Thants · 26/10/2013 09:25

I like Lexi and Flynn

breerose · 26/10/2013 09:28

emason would be pronounced (em-a-son) and a middle name that goes with the first name. Names that are in the family are: Anthony, James, Jaydn, Margaret, Peter and flynn

Sienna is ok. Don't like the others at all, especially Mackenzie. It's really awful.

Of the boys names Finn is ok. Alfie is very over used and so will sound dated very soon.

TobyLerone · 26/10/2013 10:02

I would imagine that Emason is a misspelling of Emerson.

Littlecherublegs · 26/10/2013 10:37

I don't like any of your girls names though if I had to pick Id go for Sienna.

Your boys names are slightly better - Finn in my favourite.

Sienna Rose
Finn Zacharius

marriedinwhiteisback · 26/10/2013 10:42

The girls' names are ghastly. One or two of the boys' names are OK.

Emason (however it is pronounced) just sounds made up and silly.

Idreamofsunshine · 26/10/2013 10:50

I only like the boys names Rory and Finn

Clargo55 · 26/10/2013 11:11

The only names I like from your lists are Sienna and Rory.

superlambanana · 26/10/2013 11:28

That's what I thought, Toby!

Catchhimatwhat · 26/10/2013 12:41

I only like Sienna from your girl names.
I must ask- have you ever BEEN to Harlow?

Boy names I like Rory, maybe Alfie and Finn.

Oriunda · 26/10/2013 18:45

Harlow - town in Essex
Lexi - ok as nn for Alexa/Alexandra etc
Mackenzie - as in Crook, ie boy's name
Lux - brand of soap
Emason- misspelt Emerson and isn't it a boy's name?
Sienna- ok
Amarli - made up/misspelt name?

Boys' names are better ... Other than Fletcher/Hudson. Rory is best.

meditrina · 26/10/2013 19:00

Harlow: Essex town (not a terribly nice one) and famous put down
Lexi: ok if nn
Mackenzie: too surnamey for me
Lux: ok, but I'd worry about rhyming teasing
Emason: boys name (if you mean Emmerson) or an e-Mason
Sienna: like, due a revival (v popular a decade ago)
Amarli: never seen before and don't take to it

Fletcher: OK (mutinous?)
Rory: like
Hudson: ok but dull
Finn: ok
Jonah: ok, but Bible character puts me off
Alfie: like, if nn
