Alexandra or Alice?

Which one do you prefer and why?

Alexandra stands out more - it's a very strong name. Alice is more girly and "fitting in"

Alice is beautiful, I also love it when spelt the Welsh way, Alys.

Alexandra, or Alexandria. Lots more shortenings. Ours is Alex or Allie. For me, it works better for a whole life as there's so much choice for them what they do with the name when they are older.

But Alice is a lovely name too. I'm just biased.

If I have a girl Alexandra is in our top two. With Lexi or Sasha for short. OH not crazy about it but I'm the one giving birth!

I like both but especially Alexandra I think it's because it has more nn possibilities

I have an Alexandra - Alex - who is certainly strong and stands out. Just wish she did it more quietly occasionally!!!

She is 20 now, and would have preferred the nickname 'Lexi'.

I like Alice a lot, I'm not keen on Alexandria and really hate Lexie, sorry to any out there.

I love Alexandra tho not so fussed on Alex as a nickname, sounds boyish to me. Dotnt love Lexie either. I do like sasha as an alternative nickname. I like Alice too but seems a bit more boring.
