Daisy? Getting desperate now- 5 days old

Hi baby girl 5 days old now and still nameless! My top choices of Violet or Beatrice have been vetoed by DH. We have been talking about Lara for a long time but I can't commit to it although its lovely. DH suddenly come up with Daisy- which I'm surprised about but I do like it. It goes well with surname but is a bit cutesy and popular maybe? Mind you I don't think that's a big problem and don't think it will stop her becoming a high court judge. Sisters are Emilia and Zoe. Lara or Daisy? Help!

Lillian/Lilly? (Lilly for cute girl, Lillian passing the 'future high court judge' test)

sonlypuppyfat · 15/10/2013 21:07

You have had nine months to come up with a name Hmm

QueenBoudicea · 15/10/2013 21:08

Lara sounds better with your siblings.
Don't like daisy tbh.

devonsmummy · 15/10/2013 21:10

Lara goes best with your dd's names

notanyanymore · 15/10/2013 21:14

I have a DD called Daisy, she's not 'cutesy' at all, very feisty with a wicked sense of humour. Its a great name. I hear it's popular, but there aren't any other daisy's at her nursery or older sisters school.

serin · 15/10/2013 21:17

Lara goes better.

What about Lucy as a kind of amalgamation of the two?

hawkmcqueen · 15/10/2013 21:18

Same as everyone else, like both names but Lara seems to fit with the style of the other two names better - I like your taste, really nice and classic names.

bundaberg · 15/10/2013 21:19

i love the name Daisy.

gymboywalton · 15/10/2013 21:20

what about laura?

TheNunsOfGavarone · 15/10/2013 23:03

Lara Daisy. Lovely.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 15/10/2013 23:38

Both good but Lara works better with your other DDs' names.

runningonwillpower · 15/10/2013 23:42

I prefer Lara. It's lovely.

Daisy is pretty but to me it's a little girl's name - not one for a grown woman.

You have to give a name for life. And Lara works for a girl and a woman.

PuffPants · 15/10/2013 23:44

How about Clara? I think it works better with Emilia and Zoe. Lara is a bit trendy I think. Daisy is not great with such beautiful sibling names.

JoInScotland · 16/10/2013 00:02

My cats are Daisy and Poppy (7 1/2). Poppy gets a "meh" response, everyone loves Daisy's name. Make of that what you will!

Lubiloo · 16/10/2013 08:41

Lara out other two, but I much prefer Beatrice and Violet!

justhayley · 16/10/2013 12:51

Firstly stop stressing! My DS was nameless for 5 WEEKS much to the horror of everyone around me! I just couldn't find the perfect name for him & didn't want to settle on something I wasn't 100% sure about. You need to be happy about your choice of name, so what if it takes a few days/weeks.

I love Daisy,
Others that are on my list are

Darcie/Darcey/Darcy
Willow
Phoebe
Heidi

If that helps at all xx

bumpertobumper · 16/10/2013 13:21

there is no hurry, my boys were both a month before we settled on their name. made the great grandparents a bitAngry Hmm but I'm glad we took the time to get to know them and get it right.
obviously we were rather indecisive, but take a few days to be sure...
congratulations! Thanks

PuffPants · 16/10/2013 15:55

5 days is nothing. I felt rushed to name my DD nearly 5 weeks ago and have changed my mind several times since then. I keep flip-flopping between two names and it's driving my parents and DH crazy. I also keep emailing friends the new name then emailing the next day to switch back again. I'm sure they all think I'm mad but are being very nice about it.

Tbh, I wish we'd taken the full six weeks and said nothing till we were sure. Actually DH was sure. It's me that can't committ.

Take your time OP. My best friend refused to reveal babies' names till the full six weeks were up both times. She didn't want to risk a mind change and all the undoing and embarrassment that I, her daft bf, am suffering!!!

What did you go with OP? Smile

BillyBanter · 12/11/2013 01:57

Both are good names. Take your 6 weeks if you need to.

How about Emilia, Zoe and Rosa? Clara is also good with those.

Retroformica · 12/11/2013 19:36

Lottie?

Retroformica · 12/11/2013 19:36

Clara is much nicer then Lara

Longdistance · 12/11/2013 19:38

Clara??
