Please could I have a really long list of boys names?

I am finding it hard to find anything much I like, except for names that are "taken" in my family - I probably only like those ones because I know lovely people called them!

Hoping the more names I see the more likely something will stick...

Teddy
Sonny
Jack
Rafe

These all do it for me

Sub-thread - how bad is it to have a named that "matches" your existing child's name?

Example: my friend has given both daughters names of flowers (this is just an example as I am having a boy, but one name I do like "matches" my daughter's name)...

I think it's lovely when the names 'match'. I've always practised calling my kids and the new baby's names as if I was calling them for tea or from the park etc to see if they sound ok together... Eg winston and adolph may not go so well together lol

RebekahAndBoys · 10/10/2013 11:21

My boys are Austin, Fraser & Murray. I think they are a similar style so do match to a certain extent.

I also love Seth, Stanley, Digby, Patrick & Rory.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 10/10/2013 11:24

We have non matchy names, but they sound nice together.

Franklin! DC3 was a girl and I'm not having more, someone must have a Franklin!

Last night I suddenly got the name Ivan in my head (or possibly Evan/Ewan?)

I know everyone would say Ivan the terrible, but would that really be such a bad thing for a boy? Quite cool perhaps? Or is it just an awful name...

OP posts:
Coupon · 12/10/2013 08:58

Evan is very nice and would avoid "Ivan the Terrible" jokes, which I'm sure would get annoying the 100th time you hear it.

Sunshinelaulau · 12/10/2013 14:46

I like Ivan, who cares what jokes r said? I would rather unusual names to common ones but that's just my opinion Smile

Littlecherublegs · 12/10/2013 17:18

I know of a bat Ivan.
Prefer Euan or Evan though.
I like Owen too.
