We can't find a name for dd3.

The only thing we can decide on is that we don't like names which are too 'out there' or obscure.

We are quite happy with convention.

So what is your favourite girls name that is considered popular?

Matilda. Or Amelia. Shame I'm having a boy!

ImaginaryHat · 08/10/2013 10:58

Just had a look at the ONS list, the first one I like enough to consider (not pg yet!) is probably Lucy at no 27. I also like Phoebe at 28!

Just noticed you were only looking for girls names Blush

poppydaisy · 08/10/2013 13:33

Do you mean popular names as in the top 100 names?

wigglesrock · 08/10/2013 14:12

I have 3 dds, all their names have been mentioned by previous posters Smile

I have a S.o.f.i.a. an O.l.i.v.i.a and an A.n.n.a.

I also like Juliet, Rebecca, Nina, Tess, Cara, Sarah and Mary.

bymoonlight · 08/10/2013 15:16

Popular as in names you hear a lot and like.

Names I like so far but cannot use for various reasons:

Tess
Juliet
Sophia
Eva
Emily

Charlotte is the only name we both like and can use atm. So it has the honour of being top of our shortlist - because its the only name on there.

Oh and we both like Olivia (and it goes beautifully with our PITA surname) but I'm not keen on the nn 'Livvy''

wigglesrock · 08/10/2013 15:25

My Olivia doesn't get Livvy at all. She gets Liv and a completely unrelated nickname that her little sister gave her Smile

KLou1105 · 08/10/2013 16:03

I love Olivia but didn't fit with our surname

Lurkymclurker · 08/10/2013 16:09
