Daria or Dahlia?

Which do you prefer? Also what kind of vibe do you get from them? I like them but worry that they sound like names a teenager may pick for their future children.

Which way would you pronounce Dahlia....Day lee ah like the flower or Dah lee ah which I prefer!

Daria reminds me of the MTV show in the 90s - I would see her as a disaffected teenager with sarcasm issues! But Dahlia (Dah-lee-ah sounds nicer to me) is on my long list, much to DH's annoyance!

Dahlia is lovely I know a grown up one pronounced dar-lee-ah.
Not keen on Daria

LOVE Daria. DD2 was going to be a Daria for a while but then i changed my mnd as i'm fickle.

I like Daria, it's more classic than Dahlia and there's no pronunciation issue.

Daria reminds me of a show in the nineties where they kept pronouncing it diarrhea. Sorry, not nice I know but it's what I immediately link it with Confused

I love dahlia and thought about it for both dc's. I like the pronounciaton dah-lia but I did think that she would spend her life correcting people. I do love it though and I actually like both ways of saying it!

Love Dahlia (dah-lee-ah).

I know a grown up Dahlia and her name is pronounced Dah-lee-ah.

She is very lovely so the name makes me smile. Grin

Daria does remind me of the MTV show, still quite nice though.

I can't help but love Dahlia because its a beautiful flower and was my grandads favourite.
However I also can't help but affiliate it with the 90's cartoon... luckily the peers of your DD won't have that problem!
