If you have a DD Alice, what did you use for middle name?

Just that really. Current ideas are Mary, Daisy or Clover, but not 100% on any of them, so looking for inspiration. Thanks!

I know an Alice Elizabeth. As quite a short first name I think it scans nicely with a longer mn.

I also quite like the idea of having a fairly 'busy' name to follow:

Alice Christabel
Alice Hermione
Alice Yolanda
Alice Georgiana
Alice Marianne
Alice Miranda
Alice Cassandra

But Alice Claire is still my favourite. :)

I have a 6 week old Alice Eleanor :)

We had no idea about middle names. We kept changing - we thought about Rose but had a few issues with it. We eventually settled on Daisy and were reasonably happy with it but not 100%, then when she was born she just looked more sturdy than that - I can't explai how or why! So right at the last minute before we sent out the texts etc announcing her birth, we came up with Alice Eleanor. I love it.

I know what you mean though - it's a difficult name to find a good mn for, for some reason!

DD1 is Isobel Edith and I think Alice Isobel and Alice Edith would both be nice!!

Antidote · 01/10/2013 20:30

I'm cuddling a 5 week old Alice Cynthia (my grandmother's name).

She narrowly escaped being called Ulysses Grin.

claretandamberforever · 01/10/2013 20:39

I dont have an Alice personally but my auntie is Alice Emma

yicketyyuckety · 01/10/2013 21:38

Thankyou all, some lovely names there. I think I agree on a slightly longer mn flowing well - Elizabeth is a good option I hadn't considered.

Already have Rose for DD1's mn so can't use that.

Siluria I know what you mean - I think we may do the same and look at baby once he/she is born (yes it may not even be a girl!!) and decide which fits.

I'm an Alice Louise, please don't do that, it's so boring! Sounds quite nice though. I love the name Alice though, well done!

out2lunch · 01/10/2013 21:46

dd is alice mary
took ageeeeees to decide on her middle name

capercaillie · 01/10/2013 21:52

Alice Elizabeth

Definitely think a longer name works well - we also had Susannah or Katherine on our lists. Love Alice Eleanor mentioned earlier on the thread.
