Thinking of names for a baby sister of Sophia.

I love these three but happy to consider alternatives. Not overly bothered about popularity but it is putting me off Isabella.

Thoughts/other suggestions?

Thanks

Out of your names, I'd say Elizabeth.

NotSpartacus · 28/09/2013 22:14

I like Eliza.
Alternatively, Phoebe is nice with Sophia, as is Anna.

Eliza, lovely name and goes well with Sophia.

I like all these - am being induced on Tuesday and can't decide between Claudia and Elizabeth. However, if you have a Sophia, are you sure you want another girls name ending in ia?

I don't much like Isabella (there are so many in north London it's put me off). I tend to think of Eliza as a nickname for Elizabeth. So I would choose Elizabeth.

I like Claudia Smile

Thanks for the thoughts.

What do you think of Elisabeth ("Lissy")? I'd like to present H with a fait accompli - he's very difficult to pin down on names!

Also, what about middle names to go with Elizabeth? I was thinking Rose, Frances, Lucy. Any ideas (other than Grace)?

I like Elisabeth (Lissy). I know a grown up Elizabeth who's known as Lissa.

Rose goes well as a middle name. Elisabeth Frances is lovely too.

Other suggestions - Jane, Joy or Alice.

I just love Isabella. Beautiful name.

Sophia and Isabella, sounds perfect.

I also think Eliza sounds more like a nn for Elisabeth but I like it quite a lot. I would officially name her Elizabeth though.
Think Isabelle is far too popular, everytime I hear of a new baby's name recently it seems to have a 'Belle' in it, and together with Sophie sounds too predictable to me.I can't explain it any further.
Claudia is quite nice.

Elizabeth (nn Eliza) - lovely, but I am biased
Isabella - beautiful, but a "no" due to popularity
Claudia - nice

All my favourite names. I have a Sophia, one of your names is her middle name and another is her sister's name. I haven't worried about the popularity of names as I grew up with an uncommon name and didn't like being singled out. I just chose names I liked.
