I'm early in the pregnancy but I've spent all weekend stressing and being negative about it and I absolutely love names so now I'm list making to generate enthusiasm.

I like a massive range of names from long, flowery ones to American surname-y ones. I have 2 daughters called Savannah and Jessica.

Please give your brutally honest opinions of my 'short'lists and suggest anything else you can think of.

Girls:
Arabella, Avery, Araminta, Cassidy, Felicity, Francesca, Georgina, Hannah, Isla, Kayleigh, Matilda, Miranda, Madison, Natasha, Nicole, Ophelia, Rhiannon, Zara

Boys:
Aaron, Aiden, Callum, Felix, Finley, Harrison, Isaac, Jackson, Logan, Morgan, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Oscar, Patrick, Reuben, Samuel, Talon, William, Zachary

I feel like there's a lot of names that would work with your DCs names, but here is just a few of my own suggestions:
Maria, Julia, Tessa, Silvia, Alana.
Lucas.

Out of your names I really like Felicity, Miranda, Kayleigh (prefer the spelling Kaylee) and Matilda.
For boys I like Oscar, Samuel, Zachary (Zach) and Aiden.

I think you have some lovely names there but Hannah is a bit too similar to Savannah in my opinion so I'd rule that one out. Out of the names you've listed I think Georgina, Arabella, Callum and Zachary would go best with your other dc names. Have you considered Georgia?

purrpurr · 22/09/2013 21:52

Love Cassidy and Zachary, beautiful taste.

manicinsomniac · 23/09/2013 07:32

Good point about Hannah. I like Alana from everything's suggestions but that's probably got the same problem attached. I've never liked Georgia as much as Georgina for some reason.

I really like all of the names on both your lists apart from Araminta and Talon. Agree that Hannah/Savannah sound quite similar. If I had to choose a favourite from each list if probably go with Matilda and Isaac.

As brutal honesty is allowed, I will say Kayleigh is not nice, especially spelt Kaylee - not classy at all! (But I have to confess I loved it when I was a teenager, my tastes have changed so much). Araminta goes too far the other way and is quite posh (and doesn't go with Jessica and Savannah). I think Cassidy is nice from your list.

For boys, anything apart from Talon!

TeamJesse · 23/09/2013 18:19

Francesca
Isla
Matilda

Oscar
William
Zachary

manicinsomniac · 23/09/2013 23:27

haha, Araminta and Talon aren't popular then!

I know I've got names that are at opposite extremes of what most people like - I did say I like a wide range!

Zachary is looking like a favourite for boys - I do love it. Possibly Cassidy or Matilda for a girl.

Hmmm, decisions descisions!

Congratulations

My favourites from your list are Francesca, Isla, Natasha, Zara for a girl and Nicholas, Samuel, Reuben, William for a boy.

Mutteroo · 24/09/2013 00:52

In my little old humble opinion the names; Zachary, Morgan, Nathaniel & William sound best with your two girls names.
Felicity, Georgina, Francesca & Ophelia sound good if you have a third DD.

Nathaniel & Francesca are my favourite names from your lists. Isla is also beautiful, but I guess it depends if you want a similar length of name to you other girls names? If so Isla doesn't go, if that makes sense?

moobaloo · 24/09/2013 13:16

My personal favourites of your shortlist:

Girls:
Felicity, Francesca, Georgina, Isla, Matilda, Zara

Boys:
Aaron, Felix, Nicholas, Oscar, Samuel, William

AurorasShoes · 24/09/2013 16:02

For a girl I love Miranda and for a boy Felix, Oscar, or Zachary
