Stuck on a girls name...

Ok - for a boy we like Harry, and my dd has a name in the top 10 so we don't tend to go for unusual names. We're really stuck for a girls name though

We did quite like:
Sophie
Zoe
Matilda
Georgina

But we've gone off them...

New thoughts are with:
Robin (Bobby)
Alexandra (Alex)
Charlotte (Charlie)

Thoughts?

I like your original list more particularly Matilda.

Also like Sophie but it very much depends on the accent (I don't mean to sound bad saying that but personally Sally Websters/Coronation St prounciation of Sooofee' pains my ears and ruins an otherwise pretty name.

I love Robin, but spelt Robyn. I think 'i' is the male spelling? Not keen on Bobby as a nn, unless she chooses it when she's older.

Alexandra is nice. Alex is fine, but prefer Alexa or Sasha as a nn.

Charlotte is just meh imo. It's a name I wouldn't give a second thought to, almost too boring to have an opinion on. Charlie is fine.

Of the original list I don't like Georgina, but love Georgia (George or Georgie). I like all the other three. I think Matilda is my fave.

The new list are all names with masculine abbreviations so how about;

Harriet (You can have a girl and still use Harry)

I like Matilda, Georgina and Robyn (I agree with pp that Robin is usually male spelling).
Personally find Sophie and Charlotte v dull and over used.
Harriet is a good suggestion, also nn Hattie as well as Harry.
How about Antonia, Madeleine, Victoria, Laura, Lauren, Eleanor.

Ok - I prefer the Robin spelling, but I think the y spelling is slowly growing on me.

My dd name ends with an 'a' and so I think it might be a it much to have too many 'a' sounds when I say them together.

Robyn seems to be the winner at the moment...

I quite like Harriet too.
