Middle names to go with James as a first name - inspiration please!

So we love the name James as a first name for our son to be, but cannot agree on a middle name. Suggestions please!

Great to hear James as a first name choice. It often comes up as a middle name suggestion.

My James is James Graeme. DP that is, not DS!

Adore the name, not just because of him, but it is such a strong name. I've never met a James that wasn't a genuinely smart, funny, lovely man.

I have a James William, there are also James Robert and James Mark (and another one) in my family...

I have a James Frederick, named for both my grandfathers. Love them - James is so strong and classic.

Id go for a 3 syllable middle name, eg William or Christopher as pps said, or perhaps Hilary or Samuel.

Couldn't have James Thomas as the OH is Thomas James and that would be stroking his ego a bit too much haha! Thanks everyone, nice to have some fresh ideas

Love James, but I'd go with something a bit more unusual, less traditional for the middle name.

I have a James Alexander, and my DB is James Edward. I also know a James Andrew.

I think classic names are lovely, but like outraged I think you can also go with a bit more unusual middle names. I like Isaac and Campbell.
