Great to hear James as a first name choice. It often comes up as a middle name suggestion.

James Alexander
James Peter
James Matthew
James Oliver
James Daniel

My James is James Graeme. DP that is, not DS!

Adore the name, not just because of him, but it is such a strong name. I've never met a James that wasn't a genuinely smart, funny, lovely man.

Jenijena · 19/09/2013 14:39

I have a James William, there are also James Robert and James Mark (and another one) in my family...

TCOB · 19/09/2013 14:40

I have a James Frederick, named for both my grandfathers. Love them - James is so strong and classic.

loveisagirlnameddaisy · 19/09/2013 14:40

My DP is a James and has 2 middle names so he's James Robert Phillip.

Umlauf · 19/09/2013 14:42

Morrison Wetherby George Dupree? A la Roald Dahl?

LauraChant · 19/09/2013 14:45

That was AA Milne, wasn't it?

James Michael
James Philip
James Joseph

BlueChampagne · 19/09/2013 15:24

I think you could put anything with James - perhaps that's the problem!

Umlauf · 19/09/2013 15:25

oh yes a a milne, oops! lovely poem though!!

PaddyP00 · 19/09/2013 15:49

I like James Patrick or James Christopher Smile

racmun · 19/09/2013 15:51

We have James David.

James is a great name.

TipsyandTom · 19/09/2013 15:56

Id go for a 3 syllable middle name, eg William or Christopher as pps said, or perhaps Hilary or Samuel.

kittencuddles · 19/09/2013 16:46

My nephew is James Matthew, good solid name!

MrsShrubs · 19/09/2013 17:53

Thanks everyone, I had a few of these on my list and the OH didn't seem keen, I had:
James Oliver
James Matthew
James Christopher
James Dylan

Couldn't have James Thomas as the OH is Thomas James and that would be stroking his ego a bit too much haha! Thanks everyone, nice to have some fresh ideas

Love James, but I'd go with something a bit more unusual, less traditional for the middle name.

James Caspian
James Arlo
James Horatio
James Jago
James Orson
James Elijah
James Isaiah
James Ezekiel

chesticles · 19/09/2013 21:53

I have a James Alexander, and my DB is James Edward. I also know a James Andrew.

I think classic names are lovely, but like outraged I think you can also go with a bit more unusual middle names. I like Isaac and Campbell.

Munxx · 19/09/2013 21:56

James Christopher is lovely.

RalphtheTimid · 19/09/2013 23:33

James Bartholomew

AndWhenYouGetThere · 19/09/2013 23:38

James Isaac

MrsMongoose · 20/09/2013 00:06

James is classic, so I'd be tempted with something wild.

Valentine?
Conrad?
Claudius?

...are just some of my faves that I'll never be able to use!
