Ok.

Shortlist is:

Isobel
Lucy
Annabelle
Alice
Lola (DH loves this one, I just think of Barry M!)
Mollie

Really struggling though if we're honest. With Phoebe we both just went, 'that's the one' . This time, we are stuck!

Any ideas? Surname begins with a H and ends 'son'

If it helps, we have a dd Chloe and if this bean is a boy he'll be Max. I think the two go well together

zingally · 07/09/2013 15:12

Phoebe and Chloe are a bit too rhymey/twee for my taste.

The first name that popped into my head was Hannah. I haven't met a baby Hannah for a long time!

CosmicForce · 07/09/2013 15:14

Without looking at your list I did a practice run of what name followed nicely in my head and came up with Alice. Was pleasantly surprised to see it on your list!

Oceansurf · 07/09/2013 15:15

We like Hannah...but sounds like Harry Hill with our H surname!

Can't do Chloe..cousin is Chloe!

Not Mollie, it's just a bit to cute with the others. Lola is a show girl, Annabelle is nice. How about Hera?

Oceansurf · 07/09/2013 15:55

Hera? How do you pronounce it? Here - ra? Or He-ra? (short or long e i mean!)

It's funny as I was going to say Isobel. I have a friend with kids called Pheobe, Max and Isobel.

Bearandcub · 07/09/2013 16:04

Emily?

I love Isobel, Alice, Lucy and Mollie from your list.

Oceansurf · 07/09/2013 16:12

Know too many Emily's for it to be a contender (VERY popular here!)

I love Isobel..DH says he hears 'Jiz-obel' (not a very nice dig at girls)

Alice..hmm a contender then ..

What about Ottillie? Could that work? (Lottie for short)

StrawbRhi · 07/09/2013 16:25

My DD is a Mollie and Phoebe is on our list of potentials (should it ever happen) as is Alice and Lola!

Considering similar tastes, you're welcome to my list :)

Alice
Jane
Eloise
Lola
Elizabeth
Noa
Jennifer
Georgia
Phoebe
Anna
Fiona

vaticancameo · 07/09/2013 16:27

We have a Phoebe and our other contenders were Imogen, Emilia, Abigail, Lucy and Charlotte.

Bloodsocks · 07/09/2013 16:28

I've got a phoebe and am thinking of having Alice for a girl if we have another baby.

gallicgirl · 07/09/2013 16:56

Alice is good (biased)
My immediate reaction was Isabella though.

pencilsharpener · 07/09/2013 17:00

Without looking at your list I immediately thought of Annabelle! Love Alice too though.

Oceansurf · 07/09/2013 19:10

Wow we do all have the same tastes ha.

Thanks for the lists, very helpful!

I love having a Phoebe. She gets Feebs, Feebeewoo and woo as nicknames! (woo obviously just came out of nowhere lol)

I'm just trying to imagine having a little girl say, called Alice. What nicknames would I call her!

DH would really like Mollie..with the middle name Blue!

Mollie Blue. Hmm!

toffeelolly · 07/09/2013 19:37

Like Lola.

froggers1 · 07/09/2013 19:47

I have a Max and a Pippa...just throwing it out there..

Oceansurf · 07/09/2013 19:49

Pippa..hmm..I like..short for Philippa? Or just Pippa?

schroedingersdodo · 07/09/2013 19:55

Love Ottillie/Lotte. Sounds great with Phoebe and Max.

ozymandiusking · 07/09/2013 19:56

Alicia
Imogen

elvisola · 07/09/2013 20:02

I would go for Sophia. From your list I would say Alice.

gallicgirl · 07/09/2013 20:04

Why do you need a nickname? They're lovely names in themselves and a child's character will often determine a nickname.

soontobeslendergirl · 07/09/2013 20:15

Lyra
Arianne
Alyssa/Alyssia

OpheliaJoan · 08/09/2013 00:43
