Why are boys names so hard!

Hi all. Was wondering if you can tell me what you think of the following. Me and DH are having a hard time deciding on a name for our ds. I've had a girls name picked out for probably years so when I found out I expecting a boy it has stumped me a little.
Here is our short list.

Owen - probably our favourite
Lucas
Elijah
Oliver

His middle name will be Geoffrey after dh's dad and our surname is pretty.

What would be your choice?

I'd go with Lucas I do like Oliver but hate Ollie so would avoid it incase he ended up and Ollie.

Owen out of those, followed by Lucas. Elijah sounds to me like yesterday's trendy name, and there seem to be millions of baby Olivers.

I would choose Lucas! It was on my short list when I was convinced I was having a boy until the other day :-)

If Owen is your favourite then go with that. It's inoffensive, and absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Do you mean you have a pretty surname or your surname actually is 'Pretty'?

I think from your list I like Owen best and it goes well with your surname.

Lucas Pretty sounds like Luke is Pretty.

I like Owen and Elijah, both of which were on my list. Owen is a good choice with the surname

I think Owen is our number one choice so it's nice to know others like it :)

I really like Owen. Not keen on the others, especially Elijah which just sounds ravingly religious to me.

Oliver or Elijah

Think with pretty as a surname you need a strong first name and Owem fits perfectly. Also like Geoffrey for middle name, they go well together. Go for it!
