A friend and her DH are due to have their daughter in November. They love each of these names but can't quite decide so any opinions are appreciated.
Elsa
Eliza
Elise
Her DH thinks Elise is too French sounding but still loves it.
Any thoughts?

I like them all and don't think Elise is too French at all.

I also like Alessia which is another similar option

I like alessia too!

then elise

would eliza be a nn of Elizabeth?

sparkleshine · 30/08/2013 15:25

Eliza would be a name on its own. They did like Alicia but doesn't go with surname.

I like Elsa and Elise best. Both sound fine in UK, not too German or French.

Not keen on Eliza, I find it just sounds like a half-finished Elizabeth.

I met an Alyssa recently, which they might also like. Thought it made a pretty change from the more used flower names.

Alyssa is lovely. I will mention it

I wanted Alyssa for DD1 but was vetoed by DH and used it as a middle name for her instead. Was determined to get it in there somewhere as I think its so pretty! Am considering Eliza/Elise this time with DC4 if its a girl.

My fave out of those is Elise
