I think we've finally decided a first name!

But I need help with middles...

Flora Merryn
Flora Ivy
Flora Hebe
Flora Mabel
Flora Beatrice
Flora Paccia (pash-ee-a,meaning peace)
Flora Calliope
Flora Theodora

Opininons and suggestions please!

Surname is P e r r y - G e o r g e (spaces to avoid future googling...or something.)

(Also open to 2 mns as we and both of our other DC do.)

In for a penny, in for a pound. I vote Theordora.

ElaineVintage · 26/08/2013 17:08

Aww lovely, Flora was my much loved Auntie's name. Good choice! x

ElaineVintage · 26/08/2013 17:08

Oh and Theodora would be a lovely middle name :)

telsa · 26/08/2013 17:11

I think for flow something lie
Flora Hebe Theodora ....

WowOoo · 26/08/2013 17:12

Flora B for me. Or Merryn.

Flora Hebe just sounds like it should be in a garden. (which is fine I suppose)

Flora Theadore has a rhyming ring to it. Imagine an Italian saying that! With your surname it might be a bit too much ...

Hth. And congrats!

WowOoo · 26/08/2013 17:13

Theodore, I meant.

MortifiedAdams · 26/08/2013 17:14

Love the rhyme of Flora Theodora!

Id.go for Flora Beatrice Ivy PG.

picnicbasketcase · 26/08/2013 17:15

Love Flora Beatrice.

ZolaBuddleia · 26/08/2013 19:43

Mabel!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/08/2013 21:32

Okay,which is best?

Flora Beatrice Ivy

Flora Mabel Hebe

Flora Beatrice ivy

Love Flora...

ZolaBuddleia · 26/08/2013 21:33

One middle name (why bother with two irrelevant names? Grin) and it must be Mabel.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/08/2013 21:39

Grin @ Zola

Mabel and Beatrice were my Nans names,so,not irrelevant...but they're also names I love.
DP doesn't particularly want to use family names, but he does love Hebe.
He also Likes Ivy because of the December/winter connection (baby's due in December) I also really like Ivy.

So,there nur...reasons for all of them Wink

both our other DC's TWO mns each are totally irrelevant and just there because we liked them

Flora is lovely!

However, Flora Theodora sort of rhymes - have you said it out loud?

Hebe - How is that pronounced? I want to say "Hee-Bee" and it makes me think "Heebee Jeebies" lol.

Merryn is nice!

ThePeppermintHippo · 26/08/2013 22:14

Flora Beatrice is lovely. I also like flora Beatrice ivy if you want the two mns.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/08/2013 22:44

Yes it is pronounced Hee-Bee.

picnicbasketcase · 26/08/2013 22:48

I think Ivy is much nicer than Hebe but she would be FBI - don't know if that matters to you though.

williaminajetfighter · 26/08/2013 22:49

Ivy is a plant and Hebe is a flower so together with Flora it sounds such much like botanist taxonomy!

Flora Mabel is perfect

rootypig · 26/08/2013 22:51

Oh I love Calliope!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 26/08/2013 23:05

I know...we've completely unintentionally ended up with a short list full of flowery type names Confused

Calliope is the muse of epic poetry which I think is lovely... And Paccia has a sweet meaning too...

I do love Mabel though Grin

Urgh,this is hard.

Flora is a great name. It happens to be my name, so I may be biased.

I like Flora Merryn.

Flora Theodora does not sound good aloud, as Floras are often nicknamed Floradora and it's bloody annoying.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 27/08/2013 08:09

Thanks for the insight TheFillyFonk it's always nice to know someone who actually has the name, likes it Smile

I thinking narrowed it down to;

Flora Beatrice Ivy

Flora Mable Ivy

Flora Merryn

Flora Paccia

Flora Calliope

Okay....that's not really narrowed down at all is it....
