Hiya I'm not pregnant (well actually I'm TTC & testing next week so hoping to be), but just thinking of little girls names. (DS1 is Noah & wasn't named for 5 weeks so thought I'd start thinking early). Grin

What do you think of the above? Do any go nicely with Noah, & if I like these what else might I like?

Nothing like a bot of advance planning!

I really like Willow, quite like Phoebe and don't much like Darcey.

MyThumbsHaveGoneWeird · 25/08/2013 00:41

I love phoebe. Think the other two sound quite fashionable, so depends whether that is your thing or not.

therumoursaretrue · 25/08/2013 00:49

I like all of these. Willow was on our list and I loved Darcey but was vetoed by DP. Didn't get to use either anyway as we had a boy. Phoebe probably my least favourite of the three but it is nice too, they all go quite well with Noah I think.

tilbatilba · 25/08/2013 01:31

Phoebe and Willow are beautiful - don't like Darcey......Phoebe is timeless and classic and Willow very pretty and gentle

Jellypudmum · 25/08/2013 02:04

Love Phoebe (it's my dd name) and it has a lovely meaning.

FingersCrossedLegsNot · 25/08/2013 02:40

Phoebe and Willow are both lovely. I prefer phoebe however I think Willow sounds better with Noah!

Littlemissexpecting · 25/08/2013 03:13

I love all 3!!

Dillydollydaydream · 25/08/2013 04:17

Phoebe Willow sounds lovely :)
My dd has Willow as her mn.

BabyBrainMom · 25/08/2013 08:59

Love all three, with Darcey being my favorite of all

noisytoys · 25/08/2013 09:03

DD is called Willow so I'm biased but I think it's a lovely name.

BlueStarsAtNight · 25/08/2013 09:38

I don't like Willow as a first name, it's a bit out-there for me, but agree it would be a nice mn. Phoebe is my favourite by far. I went through a phase of really liking Darcey but I think Darcy Bussell on strictly put me off with all her "yah"'s!!

TallulahBetty · 25/08/2013 14:26

Love Willow. Not keen on the others.

littlemisspiggy90 · 25/08/2013 15:09

I love Darcey, DD is Darcie Leigh and i have had a lot of positive comments on the name! Willow is also lovely, but i don't think much of Phoebe.

LoopyLupo · 25/08/2013 15:35

Love Phoebe but is it too Friends?

Willow lovely but what if your dd isn't of a willowly stature?

Darcy is ok.

riskit4abiskit · 25/08/2013 16:27

Love phoebe!

Wilow makes me think of the film sorry, from the 80s

Biscuitsneeded · 26/08/2013 18:07

Phoebe. The other two are made-up names as far as I'm concerned!

Sadie204 · 26/08/2013 23:16

Biased here too lol, DD1 is a Phoebe! Sounds lovely with Noah, I suggested Noah with DS but DH vetoed it. I do like Willow, a friend called it her LG and she is a lovely little thing. I dislike Darcey, sounds too frilly xx

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 27/08/2013 20:05

When I saw the title of your thread I thought Phoebe Willow is a great name. I also like Darcey, but spelt as Darcy (even though Darcey is the more common spelling for girls). It looks more classic that way somehow, Darcey looks made up to me.

Littlecherublegs · 27/08/2013 20:35

Order of preference is Phoebe, Willow, Darcey.

I think Phoebe goes well with Noah.

The Noah I know has a sister Yasmin.

Pheobe - thinks its a lovely name!

noodlebum · 28/08/2013 09:30

I like Phoebe and Willow :)

justhayley · 28/08/2013 22:58

Thanks all - very surprised at all the positive comments makes a nice change lol.

I like the meaning of Phoebe & as it's also biblical, kind of has a theme with Noah, not that I'm looking particularly for biblical names.

DP is William, he comes from a long line of Williams but I didn't want to call DS it so broke the 7+ generation tradition, Willow would be a nice way to bring it back into the family, it's also my favourite tree.

Have only recently fallen for Darcey - met newborn twins called Heidi & Darcey & melted. Love Heidi but surname is a H as well + my close friend who I see once/twice a week has a 16 month Heidi.

Guess if I can get pregnant with triplets I can use all3 Grin

Willow

Darcey is OK
Phoebe sounds a bit too much like an adjective ("Sorry I can't make it to the pub I'm feeling a bit feebie")

Would you consider:

Bonnie
Trudy/ Trudie
Carla
Robyn

Love Willow and Phoebe. Not Darcey.
