All lovely names!

I like your choices.

If you go for Joseph though, be sure you like Joe as well. It will get shortened!

Sarahmains40 · 16/08/2013 20:36

Yeah I love joe and even Joey hehe

I much prefer Freya and Joseph to any if your others.Thomas and George are ok, dislike Daphne and Penelope, they both sound clunky to.me.

Perfect then. I love the name Joe. Wish I had when my teen DSes were born but hadn't thought about it then. My friend has a 14 year old Joseph but hates it shortened to Joe. But she can't win that one.

DS3 now 13 would have been Freya.

I think I will defo go with Freya or Joseph had those names in my mind for years. This is my first child and I don't mind boy or girl.

Did you ladies have names set in stone then when your baby were born you changed your mind

aww all lovely

Bowlersarm · 16/08/2013 20:49

Yes! DS1 was going to be 'Jack'. The midwife asked us what we were calling him as soon as he was born and when we told her she screwed her nose up and said something like 'oh every other baby is called Jack at the moment' Shock

So we changed our minds in the delivery room Shock

The girls name we had for him had changed by the time ds2 was born, and changed again by DS3!

OP when I was expecting my daughter, the most popular name was Emily but we loved the name & she was going to be an Emily until I was 38 weeks pregnant. DH was working away so my mum came to stay & I was going through names when I suggested one she really didn't like. Call me an argumentative daughter (I am), but it made me really really like the name! DH came home the next day & the first words pit of his mouth were "I've found the perfect name we'll both like". Would you believe it was the same name I had suggested to my mum the night before? After this, we HAD to pick our fated name & it still suits our now 20 year old daughter.

Different story with DS. We decided on his name even before I fell pregnant with his big sis & although we looked at other names, we we never really going to change our minds.

Congrats on the pregnancy btw! You've a way to go yet & will probably go through a few more names. Freya was one of DHs favs but I found it a bit blurgh. Joseph was a possible middle name for DS & so you have a thumbs up from me.

I have a Joseph. He's now a teenager and it suits him very well indeed. He was supposed to be Ciaran until he was born and it didn't suit him at all. So he had no name for 3 days!

Joe is a fab name :)
