Which sounds like I made it up but it's honestly a real name.

I know three Trudy's. One is just Trudy. One is just Trudi. One is Gertrude nn Trudy.

Although, I probably should add - Gertrude nn Trudy is in her 70's & is embarrassed by having what she classes as an "old ladies name".

My gran was known as Trudy, and it was short for Gertrude....

My mum seriously considered calling me Gertrude (we're from northern italy, there are quite a few german speakers about it her defence)

Trudy is actually a nickname for Gertrude but I'm a Trudy as my full name on my birth certificate. I love my name and have never met another Trudy until recently, a little girl about 14 months, I'm almost 25.

I have been asked a lot if I'm from Germany or Holland because of my name and blonde hair lol
