I think we have decided on this for our baby. DH loves it and i think i do too. Nothing else is really grabbing me anyway!
I like that it sounds strong and quirky but i think it would be cute on a toddler too. The only thing that puts me off slightly is whether it has been ruined by The Office (American version) and whether everyone will think 'Assturd' when they hear it.

What do you think?

I like it but husband doesn't and thinks it sounds like "asteroid". Otherwise would be on my list as looking for a nice girls name that doesn't end with "a" or "ie"/"y" sound...

All the ones I can come up with are too old fashioned - not keen to go with Margaret!

Do not understand the love for Astrid. It's awful!

Saffyz · 23/08/2013 12:20

I don't like the "rid" ending. It sounds softer with a Scandinavian accent.

ZolaBuddleia · 23/08/2013 12:23

I absolutely love it, but live somewhere where 'ass' is used much more than 'arse'.

I like the idea of it but am not sure if I could use it in reality.

My DH also said asteroid? when I proffered it.
