Opinions? Our surname begins with an H.

Awful, sorry.

Kezztrel · 14/08/2013 10:38

The Samantha doesn't seem to go with the other two somehow. Daisy Belle is a bit cutesy for my tastes, don't mind them separately though.

Onesleeptillwembley · 14/08/2013 10:38

Daisy Belle is definitely an eye roller. Far too twee. Horrid.

Choccyhobnob · 14/08/2013 10:39

Honestly I don't like it at all but then it's not my child and I don't know the reasons behind the name.

Daisy Belle is too sickening for me and Samantha just too 80's (but then it might be after a family member or something in which case it makes more sense)

Stat · 14/08/2013 10:40

Daisy and Belle are a bit cutesy for my taste, but it is a nice enough name on the whole if that is your taste.

lovestogarden · 14/08/2013 10:42

"Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do...."

That's Daisy Bell, isn't it?

Daisybooboo · 14/08/2013 10:43

Yes Samantha is a family name, would just Daisy Samantha be better?

OP posts:
dontputaringonit · 14/08/2013 10:45

Yes it would Smile

Kezztrel · 14/08/2013 10:45

Yes, better IMO, quite like that :)

squoosh · 14/08/2013 10:48

I love Samantha, I know it's not hugely fashionable right now but I've always thought it a gorgeous name. Sam is a great nickname for a girl.

SoupDragon · 14/08/2013 10:50

Yes Samantha is a family name, would just Daisy Samantha be better?

Definitely.

Layl77 · 14/08/2013 10:51

Daisy Samantha lovely :)

Choccyhobnob · 14/08/2013 10:55

Yes much better!

Overcooked · 14/08/2013 10:56

Daisy Belle is awful, truly awful.

Daisy Samantha much much better.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 14/08/2013 13:02

The three don't go together and as others have said Daisy Belle is twee. Daisy Samantha is better, or the other way round.

badtime · 14/08/2013 13:03

Daisy Belle sounds like a cow. Daisy Samantha is fine.

I'd probably go for Samantha as a first name, but I'm not mad about it (maybe the SamCam/SamFox associations). Belle is a bit of a 'non name'. Isn't there a Disney character called Belle?

Daisy is cute, but I can't imagine an adult called Daisy for some reason.

natandmat · 14/08/2013 15:01

I like Daisy Samantha Belle x

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom · 14/08/2013 15:04

Daisy Belle is a bit twee for my tastes. Reminds me of when DD1 was learning about plants and kept calling daisies daisy bells, like bluebells. Also sounds rather as if it aching for a hyphen they flow into one another so much.

Daisy Samantha is much nicer IMO. Or Daisy Samantha Belle.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 14/08/2013 15:09

I'd go for Samantha personally speaking. Daisy is not a great name to live with in adulthood.

Jellyandicecreamplease · 14/08/2013 15:16

Agree with Badtime - Daisy Belle sounds like a cow's name. Daisy Samantha better.

However, I also agree with AttilaTheMeerkat - Daisy sounds like a cute children's name - not as good as an adult name?

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom · 14/08/2013 15:17

I know two middle aged Daisy's, both with very serious jobs. I think it is a bit of MN obsession that it isn't an adult name, it never seems to have bothered Daisy x2.

PassTheTwiglets · 14/08/2013 15:18

For some reason Daisy Belle is waaaay too cutesy but either name by itself isn't. Belle is quite classy and lovely as a stand alone; no idea why it sounds so twee as a second name! Perhaps because you don't hear it as a name in its own right, it sounds more like a suffix to the first name... you know how you sometimes elongate a first name as a nickname eg. Penny might be nn'd Pennypops...

Allthatglitters789 · 14/08/2013 15:21

Daisy belle is a bit airy fairy however daisy Samantha is lovely.
