I'm 37 weeks pregnant and we're struggling with names. Through the anonymity of the wonder web, can you let please help by letting me know your thoughts on some names we like as we don't want to be influenced by family and friend's opinions. We have a very popular surname (think top 5 in the UK) so don't want a name that's too popular but also not too ......out there.

Girls
Saskia
Imogen (bit too popular I thimk)
Peta
Petrina

Boys
Porter
Carter
Haydn (after my Dad, although he was known by his middle name)

I love Haydn! Also like Aidan.
Carter is ok; not keen on Porter.
If you like surnamey names how about Cooper, Parker, Wilson, Jackson, Murray or Heath?

Like Imogen best from your girls list.
Saskia is ok but don't like the others.
Other suggestions:
Aurora
Sorrelle
Liana
Cassia
Octavia
Natasha
Anastasia

Electra?
Haydon is nice

I really like Saskia and Imogen. I like Petra but not Peta. Not keen on the other girl's name. Don't massively like your boy's list but Hayden is the best and nice once I've said it a few times in my head!

Haydn and Saskia.

Had you said Petrova - the middle 'sister' from "Ballet Shoes" - I might have been swayed. Wink
