Islami name _ Illias

Pronounced ill-eye-ass. Do you think this works in the UK, do you like the name? If not any other ideas for Islamic boy names welcome.

It's a gorgeous name, which definitely works in the UK. In every school I've worked in, there's been a few boys called Ilias or Ilyas. It's the Islamic form of Elijah, isn't it?

there is a character called Elias on the tv show 'person of interest' but pronounced the same way

Lovely name, was on our list. I'd just be careful with the spelling as he'd probably have to spell it all the time especially with the double 'l', so maybe opt for the version mentioned above 'Elias'.

My step grandad was named Elias.He was a lovely man always referred to as Little 'Lias as he was only 5'4" tall :)

It works and I don't think too many people would get confused by the pronunciation (though there seems to always be a few whatever name you have!)

I really like it. Great Islamic name. Name of one of the prophets - equivalent of Elijah.
