Go in with the 2 names...
She'll look more like one or the other.

HorryIsUpduffed · 08/08/2013 23:02

Elsie

(If Hollie, please spell it Holly like the plant).

formicadinosaur · 08/08/2013 23:03

Holly is a bit 80's 90's but Elsie is gorgeous and timeless

Duesoon0202 · 08/08/2013 23:04

I'm just worried Elsie is a bit old lady name and reminds folk of Elsie tanner :(

Elsie. If you choose Holly spell it Holly though. Prefer Elsa though.

Beerocl0ck · 08/08/2013 23:08

Elsie is Timeless!??? No it's not. an Elsie is either 85++ or under 7. There's no way it's timeless. HOlly is more timeless.

Bugabooed · 08/08/2013 23:19

I don't think either name is timeless, and they both have quite a different feel to them. Of the two, my preference would be Hollie (Fwiw, I think you should spell it how you like as both ways are legitimate).

Littlecherublegs · 09/08/2013 08:24

They seem like very different names to me - Elsie definitely old woman esque; Holly a bit more classic maybe.

Both would go with Joe though.

I would spell Holly like this too.

I like Elsa but that probably doesn't help?"

Saffyz · 09/08/2013 09:31

I prefer Hollie. Elsie is more nicknamey.

Razzdazz · 09/08/2013 10:03

I like Elsie. Love Elsa myself but soooo wrong with our surname!! No lots of Holly's so that kind of sways me too.

WeAll · 09/08/2013 10:05

I like Holly and Elsie equally. I like Hollie less though. It isn't as pretty.

I don't think Elsie goes with your surname, too many S's. However Holly Sykes is lovely. I think Holly and Joe go together.

Duesoon0202 · 09/08/2013 11:33

Thanks everybody :) we have decided just need baby to show up

I would have gone for Hollie/Holly, its on our girls names list

Which ever name you have chosen, good luck with every thing and either name is pretty Smile

Ikeameatballs · 09/08/2013 11:41

I like them both. I prefer the Holly peel lying as I think it looks nicer written down with your surname.

Ikeameatballs · 09/08/2013 11:41

Spelling not peel lying!

Duesoon0202 · 09/08/2013 17:22

Thanks I prefer holly or Hollie as well .
I know folk have said its maybe a bit dated but I still like it

:)
