I'm 38 weeks, had a rather rough night and it has made this naming thing a priority!
But I'm very picky!

Can you think of any strong classic names (any length) that do not end with an "ie" "ia" or "a" sound.

To top it all I would like something unusual!

Hello, thank you for the responses. I do really like Alice, just not sure how common it is.

We are defInately having a daughter!

I love xanthe, but it is dd1's middle name so I'm worried that we'd be "stealing" it. Does that make sense?

I also really like Vivienne, but is it the right sort of old fashoined? Ie classic not unused for a reason.

We have plenty of isabels / Isobel's in the family do I think Isolde may be too close.

I think Elizabeth is a wonderful name, and would use it, except it's mine!

Alice was 32nd most popular last year. Doesn't put me off (I'm 39+3 with DD2 today and she's going to be Alice :) ). But I LOVE Vivienne and if you're looking for something more unusual I think it's beautiful (my DH would never go for it, plus his cousin's wife is called Vivien so his gran would have a granddaughter-in-law and great-granddaughter with the same name).

AnythingNotEverything · 16/08/2013 21:08

My 31 week bump might just be an Alice too!

SeashellHoarder · 17/08/2013 18:12

Thanks but dh has vetoed Vivienne and Alice.

The bastard!
