I dont seem to like any boys names-Stuck for DS2-Help

Hello ladies, Any help would be much appreciated. It took me and DH ages to name our little boy who is now (4) Zack. We now have another littleman on the way and I'm stuck. So we have moved from Surrey to Kent and have found the differences in names. I.e Quinn and Jaxon and Ethan seem very popular here where the more traditional names like Harry and George seem to be slightly shunned.

I want a name that will work well in adulthood but where he wont feel to left out (maybe) at school and whichwill go well with Zack.

I sort of like but am not jumping for joy with these names

Reuben (DH doesn't think this name will bode too well where we live) but its an old family name.(my side)

Daniel -I realised I liked the name after hearing about that poor little darling Daniel Pelka but wonder if it may become quite popular again

Fintan (My little boys best friend at nursery at the moment (although they will be going to different schools)

Jake- We have a Jacob in the family-infact it was on my suggestion they used it as that was on my fav list four years ago but they got there first.

Parker - (Maybe middlename) This is a family Surname. DH wants to use his granddads name which is John but I'm not keen. And my Father died last year so we should really use his if this follows but I wouldn't. So compromise would be his grandfathers Surname.

Edward (Ed) Does it go with Zack?

Clayton (Too chavvy?)

Cameron hmmm

Callum (Do you think of Callum Best ?) or is that just me.

Luca -We have a Luke in the family

I think Harry, George, Charlie and now Noah are becoming too popular now . I like Oliver but that is already being used in the very close family.

Help!!

Thanks for the suggestions-Liam is a no go and DH seems to hate Lewis which I quite like. Actually I think its my DH who is awkward.
He likes Dylan but I cant stop thinking of this toy my son had when he was younger (the cow from the magic roundabout) that would say Dylan, Dylan, Dylan over and over. Although I do quite like the name still hmm.
I quite Like Sam (Samuel) A friend has a boy named Samuel but they will be moving soon away from the area so that's a possibility I suppose.
I'm going to run your suggestions by DH and see what he saysnd come back to you.

I always like Rowan until I worked with one. Thought of it when saw Reuben so thought I would suggest it

I hope you find a name you really love Smile

LazyMonkeyButler · 07/08/2013 23:26

Isn't Xanthe a girl's name?

Thinking of names to go with Zack, how about;

Owen
Max
Joe(Joseph)
Lucas
Oscar

Twitterqueen · 07/08/2013 23:27

As Ruprekt suggests, but the longer versions!

Theodore - then he can be Teddy, Theo, Tad, Ted - or even Theodore in full.

Jocelyn, then he can be Joss, Jo, Jock, Jocky - or again, Jocelyn

MortifiedAdams · 07/08/2013 23:30

Edward (Ted) from your list.

To add - Travis, Rex, Seth

kiwik · 08/08/2013 00:35

Xavier? Continues the Z starting sound.
A friend with a Zack also has a Cameron and a Reuben.

whatiminterestedin · 13/08/2013 13:58

Well DH doesn't like any of them- How awkward is he! Only likes Fintan not (Finn), Dylan, and now added Brandon or Dexter aghh. He doesn't want anything that sounds too similar to Zack, too over used i.e Jake (His example ) or names that are too formal. Save me ha ha
