We already have 2 little girls and they don't have run of the mill names. We have struggled to find a name we agree on and both love.

DH has come up with Cheska, what do you think?

It goes very well with our dd's names. Would you just presume its short for Francesca? Ive also only just found out that Francesca is my sisters favourite name for a girl so I feel abit shit about using the shortened version.

Yes, I would assume it was from Francesca as I know a Francesca that goes by this shortened version.
Difficult one re your sister. Only you know whether she would get over it if you used it. I would probably talk to her and go from there.

I would definitely assume it was short for Francesca. If you know it would upset your sister then I would keep looking, unless that's literally the only name in the world you can imagine using.

Also if people just hear Cheska rather than see it written I reckon a lot of people will hear it as Jessica.

If you love it, and your sister is not having any more children (quite a relevant fact I think!), then I don't see a problem in using it.

I really like it and wouldn't worry about people thing it is a shortened version of Francesca.
