Sibling names to go with Iris

My DD is called Iris. DH and I had the song by the Goo Goo Dolls as our first dance at our wedding and we both love the name so much that we argue about which one of us came up with it.

Now pg with DC2. We don't know the gender yet but intend to find out. We can't come up with anything for either gender that we love and agree on and DMIL seems to insist that this baby's name must 'go with' Iris.

My absolute fave name of Gabriel has been vetoed by DH because apparently he'd be teased at school for being gay - fgs! Angry

Any suggestions?

Because Iris is a flower I'd go for something like Rose, Jasmine or Pearl/Ruby. Another beautiful flower or jewel name for a girl.

I don't know why but Iris and Jasper was my first thought for a boy. I also like a pp's suggestion of Iris and Isaac.

I don't really know of any suggestions but just want to say I LOVE that song Iris and it's actually such a nice way to give meaning to your daughter's name.

Maybe your second DC should have some sort of connection to you as well??
