Prudence v Florence

Is Prudence going to become as 'fashionable' as Florence? They are so similar?

Also Prudence, whilst very important and worthy, is an uninspiring virtue as mentioned upthread.

Perhaps Austerity and Thrift will be on trend as names soon?

Yes and prudence could be shortened to Prude - dreadful! I know as a teenager if I'd been named prudence I would have done everything I could to prove I was neither prudent nor a prude! Florence is v nice but flo makes me think of "aunt flo coming to visit" which where I come from means you have your period.

At least Florence has a stunningly beautiful city as its namesake, Prudence doesn't even have a whiff of beauty or elegance about it. Just unrelenting good sense.
