Name ideas (sex not known), suggestions welcome!

So far we are considering -
Amelia, Isobel, Felicity or Imogen for a girl (I also like Martha, Tabitha and Elodie but DH not keen). Possibly Angharad or Rose for a middle name.
George (please don't use it Kate and Wills!), Jacob or Dylan for a boy. (DH loves Jacob but I'm not keen on Jake). Middle name for a boy would be Stanley after a family member.

Any thoughts, or suggestions along a similar theme that we might like? Although I like all of these names I feel like there is something not quite right with each of them, like maybe I haven't got the right one's yet.

Amelia and Isobel are lovely, but so popular right now. Not keen on Imogen, so I'd choose Felicity from your girls names.
Boys name, I like Dylan as a bit different without being weird, but not sure it goes with your taste in girls names if he had a sister at some point? Jacob is so popular.

I love George, so much and so does DP but it really doesn't go with our surname at all. I really like Jacob but DP doesn't.

Hello sadpander, my son is called Jacob and I too don't like Jake, I think it is a name in its own right and if I wanted him to be called that, that would have been his name, I have only had one person actually call him Jake though and he's 3 and a half so it hasn't been a problem. As nicknames we use JayJay or Coby which is actually a nickname for Jacob in baby name books, I wouldn't have ever guessed really but hubby always uses it. He really wouldn't even respond if anyone called him Jake as he has never been called i t. We also thought of Stanley too, how strange, lovely middle name choice and also congratulations on pregnancy, we are expecting again too and have chosen to be surprised with the sex at the birth, very exciting x

Hi all, thanks for the suggestions. From your suggestions I like Verity, Mabel and Rosalind for a girl, and Samuel and Benjamin for a boy (also Joseph but have a nephew by this name) but DH isn't keen on any of them! Luckily we have until December to come to some agreement, but not sure we will find anything we both really love. Keep them coming if you can think of any more!

Jay hadn't thought of Coby, that is quite cute!

I think George, Felicity and Amelia are my favorites, but I do worry a bit about just how popular George and Amelia are, and with Felicity would be gritting my teeth if it got shortened to Fliss or Flick.

What do people think of Eleanor, Jessica or Phoebe for a girl, are they all a bit safe and boring?

I like Eleanor, but I am not so keen on Ellie.
Phoebe and Jessica are pretty but not really my cup of tea.
