Baby names

twin boy name suggestions?

We are having such a hard time agreeing on names. Both of us being Irish, originally I did want typical Irish names. Now, after going through loads of them, I hate them all. Surname being 'McKenna' I'm finding is so difficult to find first names that flow haha.

I personally like Leyton and Tait. My partner likes Tommy and Patrick (no way is that happening)

Anyone want to throw some suggestions at me? We both have big families, which is a pain. Made up of mainly boys.

Thanks in advance.

@MerryMarigold Bartley is lovely. But I would hate it to be shortened to 'Bart'

@Touchmybum don't like Conal, no.

What are peoples thoughts on Cian? That's the only name we seem to agree on. But don't know about the other little man x

I love Bart too. Even Bart Simpson is pretty cool. If it's any consolation, Dh and I argued for ages about names for our pfb. He ended up with a pretty common name, but I love it, and it suits him. It was actually our postcode (0LY) - we exchanged houses the day he was born. When I had the twins, he pretty much left it up to me, and I'm always thinking of names I love more, or wished I'd called them!

@MerryMarigold I'm in love with the name Ollie/Olly, it's adorable. It so frustrating. Ever since we found out they're both boys they have been HIS boys, absolutely over the moon, which is sweet. But I just cant allow him to choose the names, I cant haha.

@FeegleFion yeah I'm really starting to love 'Jude' but Jude andddd? No, Niall has been suggested and I really don't like it. To be fair, Jude McKenna doesn't really flow does it?

@pygmy Hector and Magnus is a little too out there. I wish I was brave enough to call my twins that though. Pretty cool names.

Lulu, it was a compromise which worked for us - I called him Olly and his Dad calls him Oliver! The other option, which I did with the twins, was to wait until they were born. Jude had no name for a week. And my dd had no name for a good 4 days. Dh was shattered going to and from the hospital and looking after ds1 and pretty much went with my suggestions.

Think you should go with Cian if that's one you agree on lol!
I like Biblical names personally. Saul is quite unusual? I like Josh, David, Benjamin, Adam (I don't actually like all the ones I suggested, just trying to get a 'sense' of the sort of names you might both like!!)

Not the oldie ones then!!

What about Louis/Lewis? Haydn? Scott?

They could be Team Bernie!

@MerryMarigold to be honest that is probably what will happen. We have a list and I'm sure when we see them there will be 2 that fit haha.

Btw, how long have you got to go? My twins were Tamsin and James until 2 weeks before I had them and realised those names were just not for our family. I am so grateful I didn't call them those names now!

@Touchmybum I do like Benjamin, I also like Hayden.

@TeamEdward oh dear haha, I couldn't do that.

@forevergreek I love Quinn and Theon, I hadn't heard that one before. Thank you

@MerryMarigold rain on my parade haha. I love Barney. He definitely won't, no.

@Touchmybum I just didn't want both names ending in 'n'. I know I'm a pain

Ah sure they will have their names a long time - it's all very well liking names but actually choosing someone's name for life is a scarey prospect!!

Cian and Theo? (that would avoid the two n's!) or Cian and Oscar?

@Touchmybum it is really scary you're right. Don't really like Theo or Oscar what about Brady?
