Middle name of Montgomery?

Dh and I like it as a middle but part of me imagines come ds wedding day do you ? Montgomery Cupcake take.....he may never forgive me.

First name is very traditional and quite old fashioned along the lines of Albert.

Are we being cruel?

Hate it sorry. Don't like any "old man up the pubs" names either but they seem to be the in thing on MN.

My 13 year old nephew is called Mongomery! Me & mum hated it at first but it really suits him although he does get called Monty day to day. I think it's a great name.

I mentioned it to my dad who loved it but he is a lot of an old man. Think we'll keep it on the list and see how we feel about it.

Just so you know you don't have to have your middle name read at your wedding dh couldn't bear to have his middle name "Trevor" read out, so we just had our first names!

So ? Montgomery Cupcake won't have that hurdle however when I was doing my GCSE's everyone's full names are posted outside the exam rooms and the coolest kid in class went down a few cool pegs when everyone discovered his middle name was Donald.....

Why is Montgomery cruel? I know a couple, both go by nickname Monty - I love the name! Personally I'd use it as a first name!

Go for it, I think it's great as a middle name.

John Montgomery Green sounds quite distinguished compared to John Green, without sounding silly.
